Intune Company Portal - App Downloads Pending - Sync Fails

Hi all.

I have read all I could about this issue online including the Patch My PC solution and the QA here in this forum.

The issue:

I have a cloud PC that fails to sync on the Company Portal app (V:

Because it's not syncing, the apps that are "available" are all stuck on pending waiting for the sync.

User's image What I have tried:

All suggestions on the PatchMyPC Post, installing .NET (since it didnt come by default), restarting the IME service, etc.
Syncing from Intune or from the Account Management on the start menu.
Restarting the PC, changing registry values, reprovisioning a fresh CPC, etc.
Other machines (not cloud pcs) - this seemed to have worked, but I need it to work on CPCs as well. Another user pointed that it could be a TPM issue but in a cloud Pc I am not entirely sure how that works.
Changing the description on the app so it would force a republish after changes (did this several times)
Reported the issue to MS and opened a ticket (no response)

I am a bit stuck! Any help is appreciated :D

What do the devicemgmt logs show in the eventvwr?

hi @Rahul Jindal thanks for the help! I checked these logs and don't see anything out of the ordinary other than some bitlocker errors (which since its a Cloud PC I dont have it enabled). Is this where you meant for me to look/check?

Please check under admin view instead of Sync and feel free to share the results. I am expecting authentication related errors involving the check-ins of the Intune service.

This is an error on the sync one:

I also see bitlocker issues (bitlocker is not enabled on the cloud PC, but the device is compliant otherwise)

According to the screenshot you shared, doesn’t look like this is a sync issue. Policies do appear to be coming down. Is the issue being experienced on all network types? Have you tried a hotspot for testing?

Hi @Rahul Jindal since this is a Cloud PC I am a bit limited on changing the network type. I am engaged with MS Support on this issue and we've tried a few steps, but they might escalate this issue further.

Aah yes, I forgot that bit. Is it affecting only one cloud pc or all?

We only have one so far, but the MS agent was able to replicate it with their own CPC. We also have a machine in a whole different tenant (physical machine) having this issue, so I am not sure it's limited to CPCs, but that machine could be having a very different issue, I haven't been able to get to it to troubleshoot it yet.

We would like the CPCs to have the ability to use Company Portal to download apps however, and we're unsure why this is happening to them.

first check the IntuneManagementExtension service actually exists on the cloud pc, available win32 apps go through the IME and it only installs once something like a win32 app or powershell script is assigned. if it's there, restart the service (that forces an IME check-in) and watch IntuneManagementExtension.log in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs for auth or check-in errors when you click install.
