    Hi @Moisander Johanna,

Could you please share a screenshot of the complete error message (with any personal information removed)? Also, please try signing in to https://teams.microsoft.com/ using the same account and network, and let me know whether Teams works in the web browser. This will help determine whether the issue is limited to the Teams desktop application on your Mac.

Since you have already cleared the Teams cache and signed out and back in, please temporarily disconnect any VPN or proxy connection and test Teams again. If possible, try a different network, such as a mobile hotspot, to determine whether the issue is related to the current network environment. If Teams works in the browser but not in the desktop application, please make sure that you are using the latest version of Teams. Should the issue persist after updating, reinstalling the application would be the next reasonable step.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to review these suggestions and share the requested details. I look forward to your update, as the results will help me better understand the issue and provide further guidance as needed.

Since cache clearing and signing out/in were already tried, the next supported checks are:

    1. Verify the Mac date and time are correct.
      • Incorrect date/time can block secure sign-in and make Microsoft 365 apps appear offline.
      • In macOS, turn on automatic date and time, then try Teams again.
    2. Confirm basic connectivity in a browser.
      • Open any website to verify the connection is working.
      • If Teams desktop still fails, try the Teams web app at https://teams.microsoft.com/.
      • If the web app works, the problem is likely isolated to the desktop client.
    3. If a VPN is in use, turn it off and back on.
      • Teams connection issues can be caused by VPN routing problems.
    4. Fully quit Teams and retry.
      • On Mac, right-click the Teams icon and choose Quit, or force quit it, then reopen and sign in again.
    5. Reinstall Teams.
      • If sign-out and cache clearing did not help, uninstall Teams from the Mac and then reinstall it.
    6. If Teams on the web also does not load in Safari, check Safari privacy settings.
      • Go to Preferences > Privacy.
      • Clear Prevent cross-site tracking.
      • Close Safari, reopen it, and try Teams again.
    7. If the error includes a status code, use it to narrow the cause:
      • 0xCAA82EE2 or 0xCAA70007: connection interrupted or timed out. Internet access may be fine generally, but another app, proxy, or firewall may be blocking Teams.
      • 0xCAA82EE7: server name could not be resolved.
      • 0xCAA20003: authorization problem often caused by incorrect date/time.
    8. If the issue started suddenly and affects both desktop and web, check for a service incident.
      • Microsoft suggests checking the Microsoft 365 status account on X for known issues.
    9. If the problem continues, involve the IT admin.
      • Some sign-in failures are caused by Microsoft Entra ID or organization authentication policy issues that require admin action.
