    Hi @Yusuf Musa

The account @ctkschoolmb.onmicrosoft.com is a work or school account managed by your son's school. In most cases, subscriptions associated with school-managed Microsoft 365 accounts are administered by the organization, and parents are not typically charged directly for them.

Based on the charge amount of $128.80, there is no way to determine exactly which subscription it belongs to. However, it appears more likely to be a consumer Microsoft 365 subscription (such as Microsoft 365 Personal or Family) rather than a subscription associated with a school account.

Therefore, I would not assume that this charge is tied to @ctkschoolmb.onmicrosoft.com. It is possible that the recurring charge is associated with a different Microsoft account, such as a personal Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Microsoft account that has recurring billing enabled.

Unfortunately, this is a user-to-user support forum, and I do not have access to Microsoft's billing records. Only Microsoft Billing Support can determine which Microsoft account is associated with the recurring charge and review whether a refund may be available.

Please go to Contact - Microsoft Support > Type "Billing" and click Get Help > Click Sign in to contact support at the bottom of the page > Choose Contact support tab > Under Products & Services, select Microsoft 365 and Office > under Category, select Manage my subscription > Confirm > Choose Chat with a support agent in your browser.

Microsoft Support may be able to identify the Microsoft account associated with the charge using the billing information and advise you regarding subscription cancellation and any refund options.

Deactivating the school account does not cancel a separately purchased Microsoft 365 subscription; sign in with the Microsoft account that purchased the subscription, cancel recurring billing, and submit any refund option shown during cancellation.

Stop future charges and request the refund

    1. Open the Microsoft Services & subscriptions page:
      https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used to purchase the subscription. This may be the parent’s personal Microsoft account rather than the deactivated school address.
    3. Locate Microsoft 365 and select Manage.
    4. Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel, then complete the cancellation.
    5. Review the cancellation page for a refund offer. Refund eligibility is calculated automatically during this process.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft 365")

If the page displays Turn on recurring billing, renewal is already disabled; note the expiration date shown. Microsoft states that no additional automatic charge should occur after that date.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft 365")

If the subscription is not listed

Check each personal Microsoft account that may have been used for the purchase. If the charge still cannot be matched, open Microsoft’s Manage your payments page and select Investigate:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2246882

This can help identify a recurring subscription or another Microsoft account associated with the payment card.^2^

If Manage, Cancel, or payment-management options are missing, determine whether the subscription was bought through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer. Third-party purchases must be cancelled and refunded by that seller; Microsoft cannot modify their billing.[^3^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription purchased through a third party")

    Refund timing

For subscriptions purchased directly from Microsoft:

    • The most recent recurring charge can generally be refunded when cancellation occurs within 30 days after payment, limited to one refund per Microsoft account per subscription product.
    • Some countries or regions provide prorated-refund rights under specified conditions.
    • Not every cancellation produces a refund; the cancellation workflow determines eligibility.[^4^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft subscription refund policy | Microsoft Support")

Because the May 2025 and May 2026 charges are now outside the standard 30-day window, the normal automatic refund may not be offered. If it is not, contact Microsoft Support for an account-specific billing review:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2258619

Enter Microsoft 365 recurring charge after school account deactivation, select Get Help, and then Contact Support. Provide the charge dates, amounts, card’s last four digits, and any Microsoft order numbers—but never post full card details publicly.[^4^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft subscription refund policy | Microsoft Support")

This Q&A forum cannot access billing accounts or issue refunds. Also remove or redact the attached statements if they expose names, addresses, full transaction identifiers, or payment-card information.
