Which plan fits email access?
- Only need personal email, browser/mobile access, and additional storage: Microsoft 365 Basic.
- Need Outlook installed on a computer and Office apps for one person: Microsoft 365 Personal.
- Need separate accounts and email environments for two or more household members: Microsoft 365 Family. Each person should accept the sharing invitation using their own Microsoft account.
- Need the greatest consumer Copilot allowance: Microsoft 365 Premium.
- Need a company-branded email address, central administration, shared company data, or organizational security controls: compare Microsoft 365 business plans instead. Consumer plans provide Outlook features but are not substitutes for a managed business-email plan. Microsoft also offers free browser-based Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with 5 GB of cloud storage. This option does not include the desktop applications or included technical support. Non-subscription alternative
Office Home 2024 is a $179.99 one-time purchase for one PC or Mac. It does not include Outlook, subscription cloud storage, or ongoing feature upgrades. If desktop Outlook is required, select a Microsoft 365 subscription or compare an edition that explicitly includes Outlook before purchasing. ^1^
