Good day Christian,
Just to gently clarify before going any further, this forum is separate from Microsoft Support. I don’t have the ability to access or investigate individual accounts because this is a user‑to‑user support forum.
Since your microphone, speakers and camera work normally in Zoom and Google Voice, and you have updated Teams to the latest version, please try the following steps to verify your Teams and Windows settings:
Option 1: Test Teams on the web
- Open an InPrivate or Incognito browser window. Additionally, you may consider using Microsoft Edge if you are currently using a different browser.
- Go to https://teams.cloud.microsoft/ > Sign in with the same account > Allow microphone and camera access > Join a test meeting.
If the devices stay connected in Teams on the web, this helps isolate the issue to the Teams desktop application.
Option 2: Check the devices in Teams
- Disconnect your audio device and webcam.
- Completely close Teams.
- Reconnect both devices and open Teams.
- Go to Settings and more > Settings > Devices.
- Under Audio, select your preferred device for both Speaker and Microphone.
- Under Video, select your webcam.
- Select Make a test call and check whether the devices stay connected.
Option 3: Verify Windows permissions
Open Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone. Turn on:
- Microphone access.
- Let apps access your microphone.
- Microsoft Teams.
- Let desktop apps access your microphone.
Go to Privacy & security > Camera. Turn on:
- Camera access.
- Let apps access your camera.
- Microsoft Teams.
- Let desktop apps access your camera.
- Restart Windows and test Teams again.
If these settings are already enabled, turn them off and back on before restarting the computer.
Option 4: Confirm the devices work in Windows
- Open Windows Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Output, select your speaker and confirm it is enabled.
- Under Input, select your microphone and run a microphone test.
- Verify Windows detects audio input.
- Restart Teams and run another test call.
Option 5: Eliminate application conflicts
- Close Teams completely.
- Close Zoom, browsers, camera utilities, recording software, and any other apps that use audio or video devices.
- Disconnect and reconnect the devices directly to the computer.
- If you use a USB hub or docking station, connect the devices directly to the PC for testing.
- Open Teams and join another meeting.
Option 6: Reset and repair Teams
Please note that this removes local Teams data and may reset some personal settings.
- Close Teams.
- Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find Microsoft Teams and select More options > Advanced options > Reset.
- Sign back in and select your devices again.
- If the issue still persists, you can select Repair, then reopen Teams and test again.
